We’re already announcing a special event you won’t want to miss!
On Saturday, August 23, in celebration of International Folklore Day, the folklore group “KUD Punat” will perform on the plateau next to Pizzeria 9 bofora.
Founded in 1973, KUD Punat has preserved the rich tradition of Croatian folk songs and dances for over 40 years.
The society has three sections: a folklore dance group, a tamburitza orchestra, and a male vocal ensemble (klapa). They are especially known for their authentic performance of the Krk Dance (Krčki tanac), accompanied by the unique sounds of the mala and vela sopila - traditional instruments with roots going back to the Middle Ages.
Most of the performers come from Punat itself - a charming coastal town with only about 1,700 residents - making this performance even more personal and special.
Take a look at the events calendar and plan your stay - because every evening could turn into an unforgettable memory.
