Which works to commission at the Yacht Service

Due to possible low temperatures, all steps must be taken to keep the engines and other vessel equipment in good shape during the winter period. For vessels in the sea, we recommend to start the engines and generators on a monthly basis because the vessel batteries are also charged in that way. For vessels on land, we recommend to properly conserve the engine.
When arriving at the vessel, the servicer will perform a detailed inspection of the engine compartment and all the elements in it, make a list of necessary works or repairs to be carried out to insure the next season is malfunction-free. Owners of boats with larger engines are reminded that, for the purpose of regular engine maintenance, the engine manufacturer prescribes the performance of certain checks, cleaning or replacement of specific elements depending on the number of service hours or over a certain period of time, al so that the engine continues to function properly.
If you notice any irregularity in the operation of the engine or any other element in the engine compartment of your vessel, now is the right time to remove all defects which require some time to be resolved. It is a real shame to waste time on such works before the summer season when you want to use your vessel for rest and pleasure.
