Marina Punat Group has increased the donation fund and rewarded all associations

Marina Punat Group, which includes Marina Punat, Punat Shipyard, Marina Commerce, and Marina Punat Hotel & Resort, in November of last year, re-announced the competition for the funding of grants in 2024 for the financing of programs and projects in the area of Punat Municipality. For this purpose, Marina Punat Group secured a donation of 30 thousand euros intended to be distributed among selected candidates.
After reviewing the applications and determining which projects meet the criteria of the competition, it was decided that all participating associations would receive a portion of the funds. Therefore, this year, there will be no need for a survey and public voting. To make this possible, the total donation amount has been increased, and the group will contribute a total of 33,500 €.

The following organisations will receive donations in the same amounts of €10,000 each:
  • Football Club Krk for the football school, which includes children from the Punat Municipality and operates as a sports organization on the entire island Krk, regardless of the origin of its members. Encouraging children and youth to engage in sports and participating in joint sports activities provides an excellent opportunity for acquiring healthy, sporting habits already at an early age.
  • KUD Punat, which has been active for 50 years, continuously and successfully promotes the intangible cultural heritage of our region and Croatia on a global scale. The funds will support the project of the 17th Mediterranean Festival of Folklore, Songs, and Traditional Music, taking place this year in Cyprus.
  • "Muzika u koracima" Association for the music camp project - Glazbeni kamp 2024, where children and young people already engaged in music will have the opportunity to progress in all aspects of classical and modern music under excellent mentors and professors. Elementary school children, without prior knowledge of playing instruments or singing, can discover or improve their skills.
The great news is that the Association of Retirees will also receive funds of €3,500 for the organization of exercises adapted to the elderly, to preserve health and improve mobility among our seniors. Twice a week, for one hour each session, under the professional guidance of trainers, retirees engage in this program, promoting both physical and mental well-being.

This way, all associations that applied for the funds are covered for almost all submitted projects, and the exceptionally high quality of the designed projects is particularly pleasing.
